Bill's international and domestic carrier experience includes multiple diverse accountabilities inclusive of most recently being President & COO of Totem Ocean Trailer Express, a Jones Act Ro-Ro carrier in the Alaska/Washington trade. Major initiatives accomplished during his 8 years as President include the introduction of two new Ro-Ro vessels, the redesign and reconfiguration of the ports/terminals, purchase of a new fleet of trailer equipment, the introduction of new operating and back office systems, updating all Human Resource Management Systems, and the successful high grading of the commercial and sales programs. ISO-9001, ISO- 14001, and OHSAS-18001 were introduced and integrated into the culture of the company using key metrics and KPI's to measure continuous improvement against plan and the prior years results. Extensive strategic studies on the viability of a Marine Highway network were undertaken and updated annually.

Bill's distinguished executive experience includes the creation of a shared services center in Cork, Ireland, leadership of running the operations for the two major carriers in Alaska, managing the Pacific equipment and yield management systems for Sea-Land both in North America and Asia, management of all operations, sales, port, government relations in a number of countries, worked extensively on strategic planning in a number of capacities, and was one of the founding members of one of the world's leading terminal operators.

His international experience includes living and working outside the U.S. for 29 years in a number of locations. Bill has worked for Sea-Land, Maersk, and TOTE. An alumnus of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in finance, he attended the University of California at San Francisco for MBA studies.
