George has a Bachelor of Science-Business and over 25 years experience in the transportation industry in diverse senior management positions including Sales, Marketing and Operations. He has recently dedicated his efforts to consulting and establishing ventures to serve the needs of transportation companies in Latin America.

He managed sales teams with United States Lines for nearly 10 years. He joined the management-training program of US Lines in 1978, and then held a variety of positions in Sales & Marketing in the Northeast. In 1980, he was promoted to District Sales Manager Pacific Eastbound Services. In 1982, he was promoted to Regional Sales Manager for the Northeast and Canada based in New York City for the SA Division with services to South and East Africa and South America.

In 1984, George was promoted to East Coast Division Manager for the SA services and relocated to corporate headquarters in Cranford, NJ.

He joined Crowley American Transport in 1988 as Director Far East Services and later as Director National Accounts for the South American services.

In 1990 George relocated with his family to the Caribbean when he was appointed Eastern Caribbean Regional Manager. He was responsible for Sales and Operations in 10 container ports in the region.

He returned to Tropical Shippings South Florida headquarters in 1993 when he was appointed General Manager Sales and Operations for the Virgin Islands and Eastern Caribbean.

In 1998, George joined Sea Star Line as Vice President Sales based in the corporate headquarters in Jacksonville, FL. He was successful in leading Sea Star sales growing market share from 7% to 13%. Volume of containers lifted increased 112%; almost all of the growth came from new business.
