His Experience encompasses the fields of Ocean, Air, and Surface Transportation.
John was employed by Bechtel Corporation for more than 26 years and in his last position as Global Head of Transportation and Logistics where he was responsible for its $900 million annual transportation cost. Over the years he served in both International and Domestic assignments in the fields of logistics and procurement management.
After retiring from Bechtel in 1996, John became North American Director of Business Development for Danzas Corporation, the Swiss based Global Transportation and Logistics Company
He currently is Chairman of the National Industrial Transportation Leagues Ocean Transportation Committee.
John has also served the transportation profession outside the workplace. He is a former lecturer in transportation at Golden Gate University, Past Chairman of the Board of The National Industrial Transportation League, Past President of the Railway Industrial Clearance Association, Past President of the Pacific Transportation Association, and currently President of the Propeller Club of San Francisco.
John has written and published a book titled The Cultural Navigation Guide to Europe and Asia. It contains background information designed to assist world travelers to adapt while traveling in countries where they may not be familiar with business customs and interpersonal requirements
