Mr. Morova is the founder and principal of P&B Consulting, Inc., a management-consulting firm based in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
Mr. Pinar Morova has more than 18 years of experience in maritime transportation, ports, international bulk logistics, supply chain and transportation strategy. He has conducted market and financial analyses and developed strategic options for a wide range of clients including port authorities, maritime shipping, marine and logistics organizations, shippers, railroads, government, and financial institutions around the world.
He has managed or contributed to more than 90 projects assisting clients such as; P&O Ports, Bird Johnson, Lisnave Shipyards, Port of New York & New Jersey, Port Everglades, Port of Charleston, Port of Tampa, Nippon Express, CSX, ACBL, Exxon, Amoco, Shell Oil, Texaco, TECO Energy, Overseas Shipholding Group, Bona Shipping, Moran Towing, Burlington Railroad, Turkish Government, US Coast Guard, and the World Bank.
Mr. Morova has transportation industry expertise with functional capabilities that include strategy formulation and positioning, marketing strategy and research, benchmarking and best practice identification, operations audits and productivity improvement, organization analysis and restructuring, financial and investment analysis, trade analysis and fleet forecasting, asset valuation, mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to establishing P&B Consulting, Inc in 1998, he was an associate at Mercer Management Consulting, Inc. (now Oliver Wyman) where he worked in the Transportation Group for eight years. He was also a Financial Advisor with Citigroup - Smith Barney's West Palm Beach office focusing on wealth management consulting for business owners, corporate executives, and entrepreneurs.
Before Mercer, he was the planning analyst in the finance department of Navios Corporation, an international bulk shipping company owned by Citicorp and Fednav, Canada. Prior to Navios, he was a consultant to Johnson Maritime Services, a subsidiary of Axel Group of Sweden.
Mr. Morova received an M.S. in management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also holds an M.S. in ocean engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology and a B.S. in naval architecture from the Istanbul Technical University in Turkey.
