Ram has spent more than 16 years in Information Technology and Business Process optimization for the Transportation and Logistics industry. He has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Madras, India and a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering specializing in Transportation and Logistics and his experience spans over Ocean Liner/Shipping, Railroad and Airline Industries.
He is currently a principal at Shiva systems, a software consulting and offshore IT services firm that specializes in modular, flexible transportation management systems.
Before joining Shiva Systems, Ram headed and played vital roles in software development teams in various organizations like Tropical Shipping, Santa Fe Railroad, Business Incentives and Emirates Airlines in Dubai, UAE. Before becoming a principal at Shiva Systems, he was leading the software development and core business system replacement efforts at Tropical Shipping.
Having worked in the Far East, Middle East and the US, his expertise lies in delivering cost effective solutions to complex Transportation/Logistics problems to global organizations.
Managing large software development projects for Shipping companies, Business Process Analysis for Liner companies and cost-effective Offshore IT Services are his specialization.
